Landlord And Tenant Laws And Practices

Apartment Listing

There are several rights reserved for landlords and tenants equally. For every law that has been created for the landlord, there is a counter law for the tenant and vice versa. Most of the laws for landlords or tenants aim at keeping their rights safe and so that no one is cheated because of each others dependency.

There will be circumstances when the landlord and the tenant have to clash legally and that is when these laws come in handy. However, it is very important for tenants and landlords to know what their rights are legally. A landlord has to know that they have the right to evict a tenant if the tenant flouts the rules of the rental agreement in any way or become a threat to their own security. The landlord need not tolerate a tenant who is abusive or is irregular with payments or also irresponsible socially.

A tenant should also reserve their rights similarly by knowing that the landlord cannot get them evicted without a reason and especially when the tenant has not broken any rules of the rental agreement. In such a case the tenant has the right to file an appeal against the eviction. Very tenant should know that the landlord has no right to change the rent plan without their permission and the landlord also should give you a written notice before doing so. The landlord can only raise the rent as agreed upon the rental agreement and any other kind of change should be informed duly to the tenant.
