States Without Property Tax

Apartment Listing

All the states in the United States have some kind of sales tax and property tax applicable to home owners. The only people who can evade paying tax on sale are people who are private owners of residences and those who have lived in that house all their life.

All over the United States people with private residences need not pay tax. The only exception to these people is that if they are selling the house within the same year that they bought, then they may be liable to pay taxes. Otherwise most of the states make it mandatory to pay sales and property taxes on the property that has been sold.

The only other exceptions to this rule are churches that are not required to pay the tax. Every state provides some rules as exception to the law that property tax needs to be paid. Some states charge much lower property taxes than any other state and in some states property taxes are exorbitantly high. The reason for this may be the population and also the demand for property in a particular state. For example, in California property taxes are way too high compared to Nevada where it is quite low. This happens to Georgia and Delaware too where the Georgia property taxes are ridiculously high and in Delaware they are quite opposite. Alaska is another state which cuts several slacks on the tax laws and has no sales tax actually. However, there is some form of property tax that is existent here and there is no escaping from that.
