One of the most dangerous and frightening animals in the entire globe is the snake. This is mainly because of its history, and for the fact that most of the families of snakes are all poisonous, which, without a doubt, can cause death when a person is bitten by a snake. But, did you know that snakes do have a common way of life, as well, just like what other animals put into practice?

Snakes also eat, and they merely do this in order to survive. They bite as it is their self defense mechanism.  As we all know, some snakes can take in large preys like the size of a human, which is what we are really scared of.

However, it is also important for us to know and to learn the life cycle of the snake. Isn’t it interesting? Some snakes lay eggs, yet, the eggs of the snakes are too smooth unlike the eggs of the birds, which are hard in nature. Actually, the eggs of the snakes are compared to leather because when it comes to softness. Maybe, you are also wondering how baby snakes encased within eggs break out of their shells once they are ready to emerge and begin their lives. Baby snakes use their unusual egg tooth in order to break out from their shells. They lose this tooth once they get away from their respective shells.

However, not all snacks are oviparous. There are some snacks which are viviparous and directly give birth to young snakes. Some of the snakes which have this kind of reproduction are copperheads, rattlesnakes, garter snakes and boa constrictors.
