Getting Rid Of Unwanted Birds
While birds are a delight to watch, some can be annoying. Pigeons have the infuriating habit of messing up your clean backyard. Their droppings can be infectious also. Other birds might even roost on your sunshade and on the roof. The constant chitter chatter can prove to be bothersome. |
You can easily prevent these pesky birds from coming to your house. A little common sense and a little care should do it.
First dispose your trash properly. Do not litter your backyard or the local park with leftover food. When the birds find food regularly in one place, they tend to frequent it.
Also, you can set up a bird station in one remote corner. You can leave bird food there. When the birds realize that the station has food, they will only come there and will leave your house alone.
You can even place bird dolls in your garden or windowsill. It will discourage other birds from building nests there.
You can tie brightly colored ribbons onto trees. When they blow in the wind they are sure to chase the birds away.
If you find your park haunted by geese, then make sure you or your children do not feed them. You can even yell at them to make them go away. No food and a noisy environment are sure to deter them from visiting the place again.
Woodpeckers will come and start pecking away at your tree if it has bugs in it. Try to get rid of the bugs and you will slowly see the bird losing interest in your tree.
In no way should birds be killed or injured. So, make sure all methods you employ to get rid of unwanted birds do not harm them.
