Take down the dimensions of the piano and see if it fits through all the doorways and pathways it has to be carried out from. Figure out the easiest and the best possible way to move it first. Everyone involved should be on the same page and should understand what they need to do first.
While moving a piano, it is not possible to do it in one shot. It has to be slowly and with a lot of pauses. At the most you can take a few steps at a time because of its weight. The whole group should have an open and loud communication where even if one person wants to rest, he should warn the others first.
A piano cannot be turned upside down or placed side ways. It has to be kept in an upright position to avoid any damage. The keys of the instrument are very delicate and even slight damage or jolt can spoil them forever. That is why utmost care should be taken that the piano is not jostled too much while moving.
