Packing Guide For International Trips

Apartment Listing

Traveling to international destinations needs a lot of preparing. If you do not pack in a well planned way, then you will fall short of even basic needs on your trip. Even before you start packing, always prepare a checklist of the things that you will need for your trip. Write down even something as inconsequential as a tooth brush if you have to while preparing the checklist.

Segment your packing based on categories like toiletries, clothes and shoes. In addition, next to these categories on the list, ensure that you mention the activities you intend taking part in on your international trip. You may be hiking or swimming and you need the appropriate gear for these activities. Or, some places may be colder or hotter and you have to pack accordingly.

While going on international trips, your hand baggage should be packed very smartly. Documents like passports and visas should be kept conveniently. You may have to present them several times during your trip.

Spread out your money. Keep some in the wallet, some in the pouch and some in the hand baggage. Do not keep all your money together stacked up in one place. Always keep copies of your passport and ticket and other important documents separately in your luggage. You have to do this because if you happen to lose your luggage, you will need passport and some money to return or take care of your basic needs.

Carry some medicines like antibiotics and make sure you are up to date on the shots for children. Always check with the doctor if you need to take any shots before visiting a certain country like South Africa for example.
