The Himalayan cat is the result of cross breeding between the Persian cat with the color pattern and the Siamese cat. Himalayans are long-haired cats. Europeans call this breed as color point longhairs or color point Persians. Different cat groups and associations consider the Himalayan cat as similar and distinct in many ways.
